Warren Zambelli has been named Managing Director for Africa by Wipro Limited, a worldwide information technology, consulting, and business process services company.

Zambelli has more than 20 years of expertise in financial markets, banking, insurance, telecommunications, and retail. His early years were spent in various front-office situations, providing context for how products and services are used, after which he transitioned into professional services, where he participated in the development of new practices. He has held numerous responsibilities in business leadership, professionalization, and expansion while assisting customers to set up, transform, and optimize across Africa. He comes to us from Mastercard, where he was the Advisors Division Lead and a member of the OpCo in Sub-Saharan Africa.

“Our goal is to be the leading and most responsible organization in our industry in Africa, and Warren’s addition is an essential step toward that goal.” His extensive consulting and services experience in African markets, as well as important development industries such as financial services and retail, qualifies him to manage our long-term expansion. “I wish him the best of luck on this fascinating journey,” said Anis Chenchah, member of the Wipro Executive Board and Chief Executive Officer of Wipro Limited’s APMEA (Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Africa) region.

“It is an honor to be entrusted with the Wipro employees and business in Africa markets with such a bright future.” “We are cognizant of our purpose, eagerly await additional collaborations with clients to speed the realization of their objectives, and are passionate about delivering on our commitment to social good that allows for collective growth,” Warren Zambelli stated.

He has several undergraduate business management certificates, including a bachelor’s degree with speciality in (financial and general) management from the University of South Africa (UNISA) and an executive postgraduate development program from Wits Business School (WBS).
