MTN Group has named Christian Bombrun as CEO: Digital Platforms, effective September 1, 2022.
Christian succeeds Minnie Harris, who has been in the role since April 2022. Minnie, who has been wearing two hats for the past four months, will now concentrate solely on her duties as Chief Financial Officer (CFO): Digital Platforms.
Christian will be in charge of designing, implementing, and maintaining MTN’s long-term growth and commercial strategy for Digital.
“Christian is a seasoned professional with 25 years of experience in entertainment, digital, and technologies,” said Jens Schulte-Bockum, CEO of MTN.

Christian joins MTN after working as the Head of Communication and Digital for the Emmanuel Macron presidential campaign in France.
Prior to this mission, he worked for Orange in France and at the corporate level, where he held positions such as Director of Products and Services for the French market and Director of Orange Content at the group level (2020-2021). At Orange, he was in charge of product design for the consumer market, as well as managing pay TV and Subscription Video On Demand (SVOD), music games, IoT and financial services, OCS, the Orange pay TV company, and the Orange movie studio.
Christian also serves as Deputy Managing Director of M6 Web (the M6 Group’s online and digital division) and as Director of Marketing and Business Development at the Canal+ Group.
He holds a Masters Degree in Management Science from IMT Business as well as a Masters Degree in Television, Telecommunications, and Internet from Dauphine University (Paris).
