Atta Yeboah Gyan has been named Deputy Managing Director in charge of Operations and Support at Fidelity Bank Ghana. Atta Gyan is a hands-on executive who brings a breadth of experience in a variety of areas of banking, including finance, corporate strategy, risk management, operations, audit and control, and regulatory compliance to this new post. He has worked in the financial industry for almost twenty years, the last fifteen of which he spent at Fidelity Bank. Atta Yeboah Gyan was the Bank’s Chief Financial Officer prior to his current appointment.

Atta joined Fidelity Bank in 2007 and has held numerous senior positions since then. Following a stint with Ghana Airways, he began his banking career as an Inspector at SG-SSB Ltd (now Société Générale Ghana). He was a major member of the Operations and Control task team at SG-SSB that oversaw the bank’s transformation from a locally governed to a foreign-owned institution. He worked as the Finance Manager for Joy FM before joining Fidelity Bank Ghana, where he established the station’s finance division, coordinated the station’s strategy and budget, and had supervision responsibility for credit management and client service.
Upon his appointment, Atta said: “I deem it a great privilege to be appointed as Deputy Managing Director of this great institution. Atta is a Financial Risk Manager (FRM) with the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) in the United States. He is a member of the Ghana Institute of Chartered Accountants and a Chartered Accountant. He graduated from the University of Ghana, Legon, with an Executive MBA in Finance and a BSc. Admin in Accounting. Atta also has a post-chartered Diploma Certificate in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) as well as a number of other credentials.
