Mrs. Caroline Eboumbou has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer by the entire Board of Directors of All On.
All On is an independent impact investing company that works with partners to increase access to commercial energy products and services in Nigeria’s unserved and underserved off-grid energy markets, focusing on the Niger Delta.
Caroline Eboumbou is a Rockefeller Foundation Director currently based in Nairobi, Kenya. Caroline had also worked with the Ford Foundation-funded All On Hub. All On Hub is a facility established to provide non-financial support and build the capabilities of off-grid energy entrepreneurs in the Nigerian energy sector at the ideation, angel, growth, and market entry stages. This assistance will help to create a strong pipeline of investable businesses that can generate the scale needed to close Nigeria’s energy access gap.
Her role focused on driving large-scale impact through the Foundation’s Power investments in Africa, as well as mobilizing funding for global electricity access. Caroline also oversaw a grant and investment portfolio aimed at realizing the full potential of mini-grids while advancing more effective integrated electrification planning and investment across key markets. She was recently heavily involved in the strategic design and ongoing implementation of the newly launched Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet.
Caroline previously worked for the African Development Bank in Tunis and Nairobi, where she focused on construction and long-term equity financing for solar photovoltaic projects in emerging markets. She gained significant project finance experience and worked on transformative projects to bring electricity to people across Africa in these roles. Her project experience includes both Francophone and Anglophone countries and ranges from power generation to transmission projects in both private and public-private partnerships.
“I am honored to join All On, a company that has demonstrated its commitment and efficiency as a true agent of change by supporting those delivering services in underserved and un-served off-grid energy markets in Nigeria. I look forward to working with the All On team, Board, investees, and the wider off-grid energy sector to support and develop a dynamic and robust eco-system in Nigeria and beyond for the years to come,” said Caroline.
Mr. Osagie Okunbor, All On Board Chairman in his remark, noted that “We are thrilled to continue working even more closely with Caroline and confident that her wealth of experience and skills will be an asset to All On.” Caroline will relocate to Lagos and is expected to resume work on September 1, 2022.
